Santa Marina Tennis Centre 2017 Outdoor Season Calendar

The Santa Marina Holiday Village Tennis Centre’s 2017 Outdoor Season Calendar was officially presented at a media event in Sozopol on April 4, 2017. The tennis resort will be hosting a total of 16 events, featuring 4 ITF (International Tennis Federation) tournaments starting May 2017.
Coming up first next month (May 6-14) is the men’s ITF Santa Marina Cup with 15 000 USD prize money. The beginning of September (8-10) will bring on stage the best of beach tennis during the European Beach Tennis Championships, followed by the Santa Marina Junior Cup (September 23-30) and the women’s ITF Sozopol – Santa Marina Open (September 30–October 8) with 15 000 USD prize money.
Alongside with offering high class tennis to the audience and tennis fans in Bulgaria, the ITF series mark an excellent opportunity for Bulgarian professionals, some of them having already played the final stages in the previous editions.
The Santa Marina Tennis Centre hosts are placing a significant emphasis on amateur tennis this season. Wе are less than a month away (April 21-23) from one of the biggest men’s amateur tennis tournaments in Bulgaria, the FPI Green Cup, which is also one of the two own-brand tournaments organized by FPI Hotels & Resorts. The tournament represents a long tennis weekend with a lot of prizes, the biggest one being for the winners in the two individual runs (18-45 и 45+) who will be awarded tickets and a trip to Wimbledon 2017.
Tennis for kids has also been paid special attention to. The FPI Bowl for little champions up to 10 years in the end of May will take the winner to the Dutch Bowl International in the Netherlands, which is part of the Ten-Pro Global Junior Tour and one of the most prominent world competiitons for kids aged up to 11.

This is the third consecutive year that we have been running the tournaments Calendar featuring a number of prestigious national and international competitions, this season being the biggest one with 16 events on schedule. Starting this year, we have also planned some new activities to match seaside and tennis holidays, including a variety of tennis camps for kids and amateurs, individual training programmes, team performance camps and a lot more”, says Nicola Petkov, CEO of FPI Hotels & Resorts.
The audience will have free access to the courts during all the competitions included in the Calendar.
The 2017 Outdoor Season is being organized with the kind cooperation of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, the Municipality of Sozopol, Tennis24.bg, Isostar, 17+, the National Tennis League and the Interactive Tennis League.
